Easy to make, yummy recipes
There are so many delicious sounding recipes in this book that I didn't know where to start! First, I made the brioche, was was so much better than the usual bread-machine brioche (it was truly yeasty and buttery and tender). In general, I've had uniformly great results with this book, and recommend it to people with bread machines and a sweet tooth.

Inspirational & Take Action Ideas Galore!
What a breath of fresh air to find a book that you can pick up & use just by opening it! You do not need to read every page to make use of the wonderful motivational ideas in here.

I found this especially useful when all my ideas sound the same or I'm just not getting any new ideas going! Great for youth group leaders, small businesses, school parent groups, and recreation centers.

Consise, well-pictured, delicious results!
Far too many cookbooks have too much text and not enough pictured "how to's" or the finished product. This book is to the point, very well organized, and has those wonderful pictures of results. A good sampling of Mediterranean dishes.

Step Back In Time
Looking through the pages of this amazing book is like traveling back in time. The brilliant black and white photography makes these rural tennessee images come more alive than a Norman Rockwell painting. This is the land where my great-grandparents lived and seeing these photographs made their world come alive. There is something so refreshing in this age of digital photographic trickery and enhancements to see the purity of these incredible images. Do yourself a favor and check out this book. Whether your interest is photography, nostalgia, or history, you will not be disappointed.

Terrible Trail: The Meek Cutoff, 1845
Published in Paperback by Maverick Pubns (April, 1993)
Authors: Keith Clark and Lowell Tiller
Average review score:

Outstanding, authoritative account of early Oregon history
This project is by far the best accounting of the ill-fated 1845 Stephen Meek led wagon train I have ever read. The authors have done an exceptional job in piecing together the tragic events and human errors that contibuted to making this one of the most moving stories from the Manifest Destiny era. The genealogical references alone make this document a must for every family researcher.

Tethered Mercury: A Pilot's Memoir: The Right Stuff-- But the Wrong Sex
Published in Hardcover by Aviation Press (September, 2001)

The Mercury Rockets!
The book contains the memoirs of Bernice Trimble Steadman. She enjoyed an exciting career beginning with flying lessons in high school, Latter, she became a flight school instructor, ace pilot and then an airplane dealer. Finally, she became one of the original Thirteen women to pass NASA's astronaut physical, and then on to space. The book is an amazing story of bravery and personal courage, mostly told for the first time.
